Tempted


James 1:12-15

Forgiveness

The World And Everything In It

Courage

Mark 15:12-15 “What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?” Pilate asked them.  “Crucify him!” they shouted.  “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”  Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

Lord, please give me courage and strength not to give in to taking the easy road instead of doing what is right in your sight.

Labor Day



Today is Labor Day, 2013 and the first day of my new blog, Meditation of the Heart. It is appropriate for the day that the first scripture is about work.


Ecclesiastes 5:18-19
18 This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. 19 Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God.
